Master's Admissions Requirements
Master's Degree in Islamic Studies.
A completed Admission Application.
Applicants with a Bachelor degree in fields other than Islamic Studies or Arabic Studies are required to complete and pass six prerequisite courses with a grade no less than a C to be qualified to apply for the Master Degree program.
The prerequisites courses are:
(GE115) The Islamic creed - العقيدة الإسلامية
(HS103) Hadith Sciences - علم مصطلح الحديث
(QS201) Qur'anic Sciences - علوم القرآن
(JF101) The Islamic foundations of jurisprudence- أصول الفقه
(AR101) Arabic Syntax (Grammar) - قواعد اللغة العربية
(JF303) Jurisprudence of Worship - فقه عبادات

Graduate Transcripts if applicable
Master Degree in Islamic Studies - General Track
Minimally, the degree is awarded to students of regular standing who complete satisfactory a course of study of not less than 38 credits, that consist of a total of 10 required courses, and an option for students to either submit a Master Thesis research, which is worth 8 credits, or choose three more courses out of new six courses in replace of the Master Thesis research that is worth 9 credits.
In both options, the student is required to complete the 10 required courses first, and then continue to either a Master Thesis research, or to complete three more courses.
The two options’ details are as follow:
Maintain a letter grade C (equals to %70) average on all 10 required courses, plus a Master Thesis Research
Maintain a letter grade C (equals to %70) average on all 10 required courses, plus three more courses to replace the Master Thesis Research, must maintain a letter grade B (equals to %80) average on the three courses.
